With over 10 years of experience, Maria Isabel is a Lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana with a Master in International Affairs and Commerce from Macquarie University in Sidney, Australia.

Maria Isabel has specialized in the resolution of disputes in private and public law. She has specific experience in arbitration disputes, both domestic and cross-border, and court litigation in a variety of industries, and specially in infrastructure, insurance, oil and gas, among others.

She is an Arbitrator (List B), Mediator and Secretary of the Conciliation and Arbitration Center of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce and  Secretary of the Conciliation and Arbitration Center of the Cartagena Chamber of Commerce. She has taken the position of director of the litigation area of a local law firm, senior lawyer of the Conciliation and Arbitration Center of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce and has represented governmental entities for litigation matters.

Currently, Maria Isabel is the Director of the Arbitration, Conciliation and Amicable Composition Center of the Colombian Society of Engineers.
